Dr. Sandra K. Johnson is a global technology leader, author, community builder, and orator. She has over 25 years of experience in information technology and is an IBM technical leader, IEEE Fellow and ACM Distinguished Engineer. Dr. Johnson is a member of the IBM Academy of Technology, which consists of the top 1% of IBM's over 250,000 technical employees. She has over 40 issued and pending patents and over 80 technical publications. Dr. Johnson is the Editor-in-Chief of Performance Tuning for Linux Servers and is the first African-American woman to earn a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering in the United States of America.
In addition, Dr. Johnson is volunteering with a nonprofit organization, the Drolor Technology Foundation, to create a world-class technology park in Ghana. The foundation has worked with its sister organization, Life for Africa, to host the African Technology Conference, in which Dr. Johnson was the General Chair.
Dr. Johnson is the author of Inspirational Nuggets and GREGORY: The Life of a Lupus Warrior, which is an autobiography/biography of her brother's life. She is a member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
